Carrier Oil

SIMS Carrier oil is an oil based carrier fluid used for the suspension of all Oil based MPI Powders and wet method magnetic particles.
SIMS Carrier oil has a low odour and contains special additives to minimise background fluorescence when using fluorescent materials. It is consists of a blend of low odour high flash petroleum distillates.
Carrier oil is supplied ready to use. The magnetic particles should be added to the carrier at the recommended concentration and thoroughly mixed to ensure an even suspension. The bath strength should be checked prior to use.
Components should be cleaned prior to testing to provide a suitable test surface and to prolong bath life. This can be easily and effectively achieved by using a solvent. The bath must be mixed thoroughly prior to use and must be kept agitated during testing.
