SIMS - PS 1000, 1500, and 2000 are MPI Portable Power Sources. They are intended for
heavy use. They generate alternating current and direct current outputs ranging from
1000 to 2000 amps. Thyristor technology allows for step-less solid-state current
control. They are toughly made, yet compact, light weight, portable, and appropriate
for continuous inspection with heavy strength bus bars. They have an AC decay Auto
Demagnetization function built in.
SIMS - PS can be used for both production and cable wrapping. Because of its modest
weight, it is easily transportable to any area. It can be used for non-fluorescent
and fluorescent examinations using both dry and wet procedures.
